Why should a student attend a test-prep class?

Many strong students do not do as well as they would expect on the ACT or SAT because the test producers intentionally write the questions to assess more than just academic knowledge. Students assume that they will only be tested on the main content areas, but instead find themselves unprepared for the higher-level thinking required to score well. Test preparation classes can help students better acquaint themselves with the test format and allow them to practice so that their ACT and SAT scores are an accurate reflection of their scholastic achievement.
